The Greatest Mystery of the 21st Century- Solved 19 October, 2006 — Hazel

Plus, breaking news: two of my friends get chatted up by footballers

I'm sure you've all read the title of this post and are wetting your pants with excitement at the news I have to give you. Well, I'm going to make you wait until the next paragraph.

OK, suspense over. Remember the postcard from Andy in Fleetwood who said something about two people called Liam and Dan who he didn't know? And neither did I? Well, Liam has come forward to say hello, and put an end to all your sleepless nights. Here is his postcard, featuring an evil filing cabinet, a haunted television and a demon refrigerator. Our TV in my 4th year at uni (that's my MA year folks, I am not a dosser) would sometimes go to showing static, a la The Ring. Thankfully, I hadn't seen the film at that point. If that happened to my TV now whilst I was alone in the flat I would probably die of terror. Anyway, going back to the postcard, Liam also mentions his co-enigma, Dan, who he seems to be rather fond of.

Next in line is a postcard from Glenn from the Indietron website. If you haven't already, look at it here: www.indietron.com

You can see that the postcard is an advert for Indietron, so if you're in the Preston area (the best place to be from) and you fancy listening to The Smiths, Radiohead, Pixies, Manics et al, then it's where it's at.

Finally is an artistic masterpiece from my friends Heather and Elaine. They recently went to Newcastle for an all-expenses trip to see Deacon Blue which Heather won. Not only that, but they got chatted up by Bolton Wanderers! They didn't mention if either of them are planning on becoming footie wives after this encounter.

In case you're in any doubt of what they got up to on their trip, they have drawn a pint of lovely Staropramen on the front. Mmm Staropramen. Only 50p a pint (half litre, whatever) in Prague!

So that's 83 postcards so far...keep them coming!
