A Bit About Me 9 August, 2006 — Hazel

Some of you may be wondering who you are sending postcards to, so I thought I'd include on here a little bit about me.

Here is a picture of me:

I'm in the Warehouse nightclub in Preston, clutching a pint of Sass (also known as Snakebite and black, or Diesel depending on where you are from).

I'm originally from a small town just outside Preston. I spent the latter half of my teenage years hovering around Preston bars and rock clubs, like the Warehouse. I can still be found lingering around the Dog and Partridge on the odd weekend here and there.

I went to uni in Manchester in 2001. I did a Bachelor's and a Master's in Linguistics, then I got a job on a research project in the department. Check it out here: www.llc.manchester.ac.uk/Research/Projects/romani
